Covid has forced a new focus on how and where we work. We should rise to the challenge and opportunities, says Joe Morris
Let’s face it, when asking architects what type of building they would most like to work on, few would choose the workplace as a preferred typology against which to grind the creative axe.
The workplace has been historically maligned, often criticised for being programmatically benign, driven by the cruel economics of “efficiency” over “richness”, speculatively bereft of joyful innovation, and manifesting with hermetically sealed mechanical dependency.
